Fairy Tale Summer Lower Austria

The Fairy Tale Summer Lower Austria delights children aged 4 to 12 – and everyone who loves fairy tales.

Each year, a brand-new modern fairy tale is created or a well-known story is reimagined in a contemporary way. Direction, script and music are specially developed, making every season unique.

In 2026, the Fairy Tale Summer presents “Cinderella – Reimagined in Dance” from 9 July to 30 August.

Interactive & Part of the Story

At the Fairy Tale Summer, guests are not just spectators – they become part of the story. Dancing, singing and solving puzzles together is highly encouraged. The audience plays an active role in ensuring the fairy tale reaches its happy ending.

Walking Theatre at a Fairy Tale Castle

The performance takes place as an interactive walking theatre through the magical setting of Schloss Poysbrunn and its gardens.

After a shared opening scene, the audience splits into smaller groups and follows different characters – allowing each group to experience the story from a unique perspective.

Professional actors deliver theatre at the highest level, and children who love performing even have the chance to take on small supporting roles.

A truly special family experience in the Weinviertel – full of imagination, movement and shared adventure.
